Our Story

The Early Days

Our first bricks and mortar showroom and offices opened in Tuam in the early 80’s and was located on High Street. Stocking predominantly Bar Equipment and Glassware.

Tommy Varden Snr spent many years as a travelling salesman operating from his home address.

Did you know we were once Westenders?

In the late 80’s our first Galway City showroom was opened on Ravens Terrace based in the Claddagh Basin and enjoyed magnificent views looking out on Galway Bay. This area is now known as the Galway’s trendy Westend.

Galway GAA

Our affiliation with Galway GAA dates to the late 80’s. In 1990 we became the main sponsor to the Galway Football Team and were one of the first companies to have their name displayed on a county jersey. We enjoyed several All-Ireland successes as main sponsors across all ages. Most notably the senior titles of 1998 & 2001.

Our Current Home is on the Tuam Road in Galway City. Operating a cash and carry out of a 6,000 square foot unit. We stock over 3,000 lines of Bar and Catering Equipment products available for purchase in store or online.
